Wear designer socks when dining at The Gables, our Beach Haven, NJ restaurant. They may well be knocked off by the imaginative seasonal fare at our 2007-08 Zagat rated 26 "exceptional to perfection" restaurant.

A bastion of old-world hospitality, the meticulously restored Gables Inn offers truly fine dining in New Jersey. The restaurant proper, the original large dining room in this century-old house, provides a delightful setting with its candle-lit tables, wood burning fireplace, crystal chandelier and original wide plank floors. Tables are also set on the shady porch and in the enchanting Victorian garden courtyard, which features a sparkling fountain and a wealth of flowers.

This historic Victorian Jersey Shore inn is open nightly for dinner during the summer season, and every weekend during the fall and spring. We also host memorable private parties and weddings in this most romantic of settings.

Meals are brilliantly orchestrated by our Chef, Richard Diemer. Every dish manages to wow, comfort and excite. Presentations are lovely without being pretentious.

Menus change daily; culinary inspiration is drawn from whatever impeccably fresh ingredients are at their best that morning. Produce from local New Jersey farms, micro greens from Blue Moon Acres, Buckingham, Pennsylvania, Niman Ranch organic meats, D’Artagnan organic poultry, fresh diver scallops from Long Beach Island’s surrounding waters, Prince Edward Island mussels, and lobsters exclusively from Maine, take pride of place. We also take pleasure in presenting a selection of award-winning wines from NJ’s Bellview Winery to enhance your enjoyment.

Brunch at The Gables

Sunday daytime parties and showers abound this summer at the Gables. Sorry to disappoint those of you who love our Sunday brunches, please think of joining us for an early dinner, we open at 5pm.

For those of you who are planning bridal/baby showers, birthday or anniversary parties, or other special celebrations, we do have some Sunday morning and early afternoon availability for private banquets. Should your party consist of at least 35 guests, we can offer you the choice of either a breakfast/brunch buffet or plated luncheon.
